Conduit - To Orchestrate Us

_{Small edit here, since I've had a few people confuse Connie for a Machine. He's just a very strange lookin' stitchy, so I thought I should make that clear.}

Alright, because I told this'd be up by tonight, here it is! Despite his rather machine-like appearance, Conduit is in fact a raggie and one of the foremost members of the antagonists on a massively epic RP going on over at the 9 forum (it has been titled "Fractured Wasteland" by this point).

I was NOT expecting to love this guy as much as I do. He's just SO fun to write for. And even more to mess with. That being said, let's dive right in, shall we?

Name - Conduit
Date Created - September 10th
Type - Stitchpunk
Fabric and Metal - Canvas. I'll have to look up a specific metal type for him, but it's quite durable. Connie was built to withstand attacks against the Machines.
Height - Conduit is INCREDIBLY tall for his kind, standing at an impressive 8 1/2 inches in height. [I think of standard raggie height as being around 6 inches]
Voice Actor - Douglas Rain (HAL-9000 in 2010: The Year We Make Contact. I know a lot of you are probably going "Wait, wut", but I always imagined Conduit sounding more like HAL did in 2010; he's a lot more warm and pleasant sounding in that movie: [link] Skip to 2:00 to hear HAL)

Anomolies - Considering he's a giant one-eyed mantis, I'd call him one big anomaly. But the blaringly obvious aside, Conduit also possesses the ability to communicate with and "persuade" the beasts to act in certain ways or perform certain actions via an internal radio. He also uses this to communicate with his partner.

Also, since he can't breathe to regulate heat, he has fabric simply draped over his soul-core and other innards to keep it all cool. That being said, his chest area is his weakest point, the second weakest being his optic.
Likes - Sihd, his music, orderliness, friendly conversation, and nighttime.
Dislikes - Alpha (or anyone he marks as a problem), loud noises, storms, disorder, and when Sihd is hurt.
Personality - Distant and polite, Conduit has a detached interest in most everyone and everything around him. The shock of being transferred into his ragdoll body left Conduit with the firm belief he is in fact dreaming, and none of the horrors going on around are real. As such, very little truly disturbs him. The only times he becomes truly distressed are those instances where his partner is involved or when he loses control of his carefully balanced system.

Conduit obsessively commits himself to solving any and all problems posed to him. This means he will never leave a question unanswered (and due to his distaste for lying, it will almost always be honest, though indirectly so at times). It also means that he will obsess over an emotion until he feels it is resolved somehow. As such, he doesn't handle things like rage or shame terribly well, and will lose focus on all else until he feels he's gotten to the source of the feeling.
History - I can't reveal too much here for fear of spoiling it for those involved in the RP, but I CAN say he's been with the Tormentor's for the whole shaky ride. He was one of the last few to be created, and has always been rather at the fringes of the group. He and Sihd met rather early into the group's existence (after the death of one of the other members, Delta), and have been allies since then. He can remember fragments of the life of the human whose soul he was made from.
